Finding of Land Use Inconsistency

On May 1, 2003, the Council convened a formal Land Use Hearing, pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 80.50.090 of the Revised Code of Washington, and Chapter 463-26 of the Washington Administrative Code, for the purpose of determining if the proposed Kittitas Valley Wind Power Project site is consistent with Kittitas County or regional land use plans and zoning ordinances.  Public testimony was taken at this hearing, limited to land use and zoning consistency issues.  The Council also considered written comments specifically addressing the matter of the proposal’s land-use consistency with Kittitas County or regional land use plans and zoning ordinances received by the end of the comment period.
